Let’s begin with a question: how exactly did this story sprint from “Library Tour” to “Guillotine” without stopping for breath? I’m not complaining — just impressed. I’m seated. I’m buckled. I’m clutching my emotional support water bottle.
I’ve never spent much time wondering what libraries do after closing, but now that I’m thinking about it… yeah, the vibes are haunted. That’s thousands of stories sitting in the dark, whispering to each other. Nothing good happens in a room full of unsupervised narratives.
Meet Aria and Jasper, our “kinda dating” pair who have chosen the Daedalus Library for date night — a building known for themed rooms, secret passageways, and the occasional ghostly ambiance. I respect the desire to be agreeable in a relationship, but if someone invited me to a place where I previously abandoned a corpse, I would politely suggest literally anywhere else because boundaries matter.
And if that’s not enough chaos for you, we also follow Evangeline, the library’s former owner, plus several guests selected for mysterious reasons. “Reasons Unknown” here translates to “prepare for knots, tangles, and interpersonal disasters.”
So the tour begins. Everything is normal-ish. Everyone is normal-ish. The library is library-ing. But of course, that’s not why we’re here. I’m ready to dive headfirst into the secrets, lies, and questionable decision-making these people are clearly hoarding.
